In this day and age, it's best to follow a regular pattern no matter how wierd or incorrect (you may think) your system is. When going to court, patterns are always looked for and exploited. First talk to your partner, remembering his/her current state of mind and how they ususally respond to criticism and tell them that it bothers you and that you would like to talk with them with a Supervisor present. After that, it's generally out of your hands unless the issue isn't handled to your liking. So whenther it is; a personal issue or a grave patient care issue, it should be taken care of. Pretty soon we will have EMS monitors from the Fed riding alongside us on every call, right? Wait for it... Grow some tough but smart skin, people!
