In an effort to self diagnose and rule out an Api, I decided to drink a lot more water for a week, to help speed up traffic.. per se. Anyhoo our water sucks. It's a hint of sulfur from nearby coal mines, and a lot of chlorine.. and I'm not paying for bottles, when I can get 1000gal. for the price of 1 bottle of water. I have one of those tap filters anyway. So, I was walking through the supermarket, and decided Kool-Aid was a possibility. Someone asked me why not Gatorade? It makes my mouth dry.. Always has. I hate Gatorade. The Kool Aid. Not too much sugar, not bland, but not overly sweet. I haven't had Kool-Aid in like twenty years. I didn't even remember what it tasted like. The second I took my "enough sugar? sip", I had a flash back to 1986. I could almost remember gnawing on this hard as a rock perfectly formed Tropical Punch ice block. We had these plastic molds, with a lid and a stick in place, you'd pour Kool Aid in, and freeze it. Bang. Popsicle. Tropical Punch and Cherry.. Strawberry sometimes. I loved those things. Too bad I had to look in the Vintage section of eBay, to find a picture.. Vintage.. wtf..

I remember keeping HUNDREDS of these little yellow stamps from Kool Aid containers and packages, to send out for free shit. My all time favorite cup was this red thing that said "You're The Apple of My Eye.. Mr. Steak", a restaurant that used to be on the "Golden Strip" in Williamsport, Pa (Loyalsock Twp.). However, at some point, we began to turn in these Kool Aid Points, and get stuff.. Beach Towels, an entire collection of mugs, pitchers, tee shirts, inflatable things. Stuff that was cool in the 80's.. Cereal Box toys.. When you got actual things, in the box. I would only eat cereal, that had cool shit on the front. This came about when I was looking for the pic of the molds. If I would have left all my stuff in the packages, all my toys as a kid... I'd be rich. Damnit.

Roller Blades? Who needs roller blades.. This was a sexy look in '85!

Yes, a relic of a time when being knocked unconscious and bleeding all over the street was just a part of growing up. My parents should have bought stock in Johnson & Johnson.
