Lifesaving Resources advocates that NO ICE IS SAFE ICE. First Responders need to be appropriately trained and equipped to respond to ice rescue incidents on and through the ice. And, approximately 75% of the incidents are triggered as a result of an animal falling through the ice, and good samaritans who then attempt to rescue the animal.
Please see our list of Ice Rescue Training Programs, including our annual INTERNATIONAL ICE RESCUE TRAIN-THE-TRAINER ACADEMY, to be conducted in February in Portland, Maine. Information on these programs is available through the Lifesaving Resources' website at www.lifesaving.com.
