It is a fact that the single most frustration issue when taking an emergency call is to get the caller's exact position.

I solved it by developing what is known in South Africa (where I live) the UPN Program; it is SMS-based.

UPN is an acronym for: Unique Position NUmber, Unique Personal Number and Unique Possession Number.

Position number: Say a private house is registered and say the UPN allocated is A1585.
The full address description including Longs and Lats are logged in the program.

To report an incident the caller sends the following sms: A1585 drowning/mva/ ...

The information is received and distributed to a number of entities within less than 30 seconds


I believe the program is unique in the entire world.

Very excellent navigation system and very much needed. I'm sure in Africa, it is very much needed and makes a world of difference. Keep up the great work.
