Hi Tina, just browsing the web and came across this site!
I'm a UK paramedic migrating to Perth Sept this year with my family. We have a pr visa pending. I have applied to the St Johns and they have my details on file, however they have recruitment on hold at the moment and can't say when this will be lifted. I'm just trying to find out if there are any private ambulance companies that I may be able to find work with. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have 15 years experience, 10 of which is at paramedic level.
I work for a New Zealands smallest emergency ambulance service and am currently collecting EMS patches for our station wall. I have already managed to get patches from Queensland, NSW, ACT, Victoria and Sth Australia ambulance services. If you have others available for trade and are interested in items from NZ, please let me know.
I recently have been contacted by someone from your country that is interested in our Online Paramedic program. He works for Queensland EMS and is planning on coming to the states next year.
Has your company ever thought about a joint venture with an American training school.

I saw your note that your daughter will be going to Phoenix. I live in Tucson, AZ. I am not in EMS, but work for Advanced Hazmat Life Support at the University of Arizona. We train paramedics, docs, nurses, etc. how to treat patients exposed to hazardous materials.
I'd be happy to share whatever information I can about Arizona. It's HOT in the summer and DRY. Right now, in Tucson it is in the upper 50's and low 60's (Farenheit).
Let me know what you'd like to know. You can email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you like.
