As a relatively new EMT instructor, I can agree with some comments...and as a seasoned provider with 14 years experience, I can agree with some comments. If I might, please allow me to interject my perceptions on...
I would rather have ALS be dispatched, arrive on the scene and be cancelled than just cancel them outright. Better to be safe than sorry!
Also, QRS units have NO responsibility cancelling an ALS unit, as they will never be the transporting unit. ...

The group for instructors and educators in EMS
When is that coming to the western side of the state? I have yet to hear of this from anyone here, and I'm an instructor. Are the EMTs trained in the indications/contraindications? I agree with Ken, this is NOT good.

Hi everyone, I have been working a Fly Car now for 2 years. I also like the concept. In fact, the hospital that I am working in (Bangkok, Thailand) is the only hospital base ambulance that operate this type of vehicle with multi-tasks.
If you work in a "fly car" or "first responder" this is the place for you. Say hello, get to know each other, share experiences good or bad. A good place to vent or just learn what we all do in our regions.
Very interestingly, how do you apply them (ice packs) on the patient ?
