About Me
I am 23-years-old. I live in Northeastern Pennsylvania with my two-year-old little princess, Aubreyana Marie. My daughter is my life and without her I would be lost. My daughter also has two older sisters, Mersadies and Annalease who also mean the world to me. I enjoy the simple life, love my family, and hope someday to meet a nice girl who can complete me.

Secondary to my daughter and my family, EMS is a huge part of my life. Starting out in a volunteer fire company ONLY because my dad was the fire chief, hating blood and vomit, I decided to take an EMT course and immediately fell in love. Like all the other EMS providers began to think blood and vomit was actually pretty neat. I ran as a voluteer EMT for two local volunteer fire companies while finishing high school.

Like many other paramedics I did not want to go to college for four years so took the "easy" way out and attended paramedic school. I truely love EMS however don't think of it much as a career.

I try to stay extremely active in my local EMS community. I teach EMT classes in Wyoming County to get to know those I will be working with in the field. I teach continuing education for many EMS associations mostly because I don't know how to say no. I attend EMS consortium meetings, moderate a county emergency services forum, and do anything else to better our EMS community.

In the Fall of 2005, I took part in the Pennsylvania EMS Task Force III responding to Louisianna and Mississippi in their time of need during Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. It was a great experience learning most of all that skills are not important without caring and compassion.

If you want to know anything else, just ask me and I will tell you because like I said I can't say no.

great story. beautiful kids. I'm an EMT-B (would love to be a medic) and have much respect for all EMS personnel, especially single parents who can balance the difficult task of working those crazy hours but making time to play daddy/mommy. good luck with all. Happy Holidays.

So the entire stance that you've taken that fire/EMS saves money on support costs are really a lie then?
