My Training:
Trained by Dallas Fire Department as a firefighter. Paramedic training was conducted at UT Health Science Center in Dallas. Prior to joining the fire department, I completed nine months of the then 24-month Physicians Assistant Program at Duke University Med Center before being drafted by the Army, where I was trained as a medical corpsman.
About Me
During my fire service career I was active in IAFF Local 58, serving in a variety of capacities, including President for ten years. I also served on NFPA protective clothing and equipment technical committees, and was chairman of the Respiratory Protection committee for ten years. I am now enjoying retirement, spending time with grandkids (five), traveling, playing a little golf, and writing.
