About Me
I work in ICU as a telemetry technician. It's a great job and sometimes a little hectic watching so many heart monitors on one or two screens. I have been in the medical field off and on for 12 years. Lived in Knoxville, Tennessee and worked for Baptist for a while and loved it there. Husband was a paramedic and worked for a private ambulance company, so I got to learn a lot from him.

Getting un-hitched

Boy, that guy sure was a mistake. Glad I had the guts to call it quits before we tied the knot. So to all my friends out there thanks for your warms wishes, but this one is a water under the bridge deal. Please don't try to rescue him. Ha ha.
Just too many things that didn't fit and just not much of a father figure for the kids. We're still moving but we'll be moving down to St. George, Utah instead. Be nice to be close to Vegas. ha ha.......Maybe I'll win my millions........
Anyway, it was a go… Continue

Today she asked me why they do that when the fire trucks and ambulances first come out of the station house. I told her that means they are 'running hot', rushing to a scene. She's very inquisitive as most 9 year olds are and loves watching shows like 'Trauma in the ER', ER, Ocean Force, all these rescue shows. Her step dad is… Continue

Hi everyone, I have been working a Fly Car now for 2 years. I also like the concept. In fact, the hospital that I am working in (Bangkok, Thailand) is the only hospital base ambulance that operate this type of vehicle with multi-tasks.

If you work in a "fly car" or "first responder" this is the place for you. Say hello, get to know each other, share experiences good or bad. A good place to vent or just learn what we all do in our regions.

Very interestingly, how do you apply them (ice packs) on the patient ?
