"While working in Georgia it was not unusual for a medic to pick up a shift at the MCCG in Macon. It was good overtime and the learning experience was outstanding in both directions. We worked well with the nurses, ER docs and Trauma team. I believe…"
"Just another point regarding transmission of 12 leads. It does not necessarily have to do with "trust" by a medical director. In several midwestern states, the AHA program "Mission:Lifeline" is being fully implemented and…"
"We are using Verizon mifi and a program with Physio control that is compatible with our Life-Paks and goes through our computers. We did not go to AT&T because the Verizon had a better coverage area here. My suggestion for you is to…"
"Why does everyone make this so hard?
Do you, your partner, your patient, or your patient's family have a cell phone?
If the answer is yes, then take a picture of the EKG.
Send it to an e-mail address. You can do this just…"
"OMG! I began my EMS career in a Dodge ambulance identical to this. It would take 5 minutes to get it out of the station because it stalled every time we put it in gear. Zero to 60 in ten minutes (if we were going down hill)."
"We use LP 12's with Bell cell phones but we ran into the same problem so now our LP 12's can be hooked into a regular phone line with a telephone cable if we have no cell coverage and if all else fails find some one with a fax machine and…"
"Our MD has for years trusted our compentcy in the 12 lead now all of a sudden they want to be able for us to send it to the ER Via Blue Tooth. Some are transmitting with Verizon Blur Tooth adapter but our coverage area is horrible so we were forced…"
You really DON'T want to transmit EKGs over the air for any number of reasons. IF crews are competent, and IF your medical director trust you there is no reason to be sending EKGs. If either of the above are not true you should not…"
Can any one suggest a means of transmitting 12 leads via the AT&T phone service. WE have Samrt phones with fax capabilities and can not figure out houw to do this. We have to use 1AT&T because of the coverage in our area. We have the blue tooth conncetor from Zoll but it will not accept our phone. Help.
"Our service recently purchased the Ferno Power Flex. It is great for nursing home transfers and first flow easy access to patients but to have to carry the stretcher or lift up or down stairs, it's plain dam heavy. Add a good 50-75lbs onto the…"
"I totally agree hands-on trainng is great and you were really right on with the wat you handled the E-z Glide chair. We just put one in service works great and is totally awesome in tight quarters. Also the new hydraulic/electric stretcher sure…"
"Are you saying that if you don't have a college "DEGREE" you are not professional? Because you are so wrong if that is your intent. Illinois is just now going to where a college education wil be required to become a EMT or a paramedc,…"
