- About Me
- Hi, I am a 27 year old Firefighter/Paramedic currently working soley as a Paramedic in a very busy rural county. It is considered one of the busiest and hardest counties in Florida to work in and has already accelerated the learning curve tremendously for me. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my amazing girlfriend and my dog (my best friend). I have recently completed an A.S. in Emergency Medical Services and a General Transfer A.A. and will be attending FSU soon. I hope to complete my bachelor's and then go into medical school to study my love, emergency medicine. In the meantime I plan to test for my FP-C very soon.
I recently completed The Difficulty Airway Course: EMS, hosted by the Ft. Lauderdale Fire Department and had a blast. My favorite quote: "Ego is responsible for more failed airways than all other factors combined."

Duncan Hitchcock said… - Our local community college, Pasco Hernando Community College, has a Paramedic to RN bridge program. We have had about 20 of our folks complete this program. PHCC also has a BS in Nursing satelite program with USF.
I'm not a big fan of on-line programs when it comes to medical related core training courses.
I know that St Petersburg College had a bridge program.
I really don't know of anything up in your area.
