Back in 1969 Phx Fire wanted to work fires not EMS. Then that changed in the 1980s when big cities found DOT money in it. In the 90s Fire started a chain of events making private EMTs less, and Fire more trained with thier own EMT Fire classes. If...

But wanting his wife and family to know everything possible was done to try and save his life. Even if you know it will not change anything. You do it for the family.

I wish you knew the unique smell of burning insulation, the taste of soot-filled mucus, the feeling of intense heat through your turnout… Continue

Hi Jodi, I have a friend who struggled in an EMT class in NM then moved to WA. She had testing issues before so to try to make that unreasonable mark was a horror for her. Glad you put that up there for the rest of us to see. I have passed it along to her so maybe she won't feel so bad.

I recently was shafted here in Maine but we ( a whole class ) are almost done [10 months after having started what should have been a 5 month program]. Keep doing what you do, it is appreciated by others!

Good luck with your EMT training, I'm sure you'll do fine. Spend some time on www.emtb.com I found it to be a help to me.

Hey I seen in your dicussion that you are starting a SAR's team from the ground up. Our agency is looking (we are a full ALS transport ambulance/1st response) to start one and would appreciate the paperwork/background into becoming recognized.

thanks

Chris
