"Yes under the new rules we will have 3 days, but my company will hold to the 24 hours, don't want those PCRs sitting out there not getting done any longer than we have too."

"In my area NW PA we also and its now state wide but will change state wide when the new rules take effect. 24 hours but our system is set up to as soon as the PCR is finished and closed and sent to the server it is also faxed to the receiving…"

"Same here in Southestern PA; 24 hours from the time of dispatch to send electronically or deliver on paper(not "in the mail")."

"Our regional EMS system requires that we have 24 hours to have the chart done and faxed (or hand carried) back to the ED."

I would like to know for the agencys that do not write charts at the hospital. What is an appropriate time frame to have them completed and faxed back to the ED. Thank you for your inputSee More

Hey Jim!

Great to hear from ya. Sounds like things are going pretty good for you out there. I'm working full time with Portland Fire and am loving the job! I went about half way through paramedic school and am looking to return to finish that up.
