Looking For Trouble: Part 2

In part one I talked about the importance of being thorough in your patient assessment, and to resist falling into bad habits. So in that samevein, Lets talk about an assessment style that is both quick and easyfor you, and will lead to a better  assessment and more appropriatepatient management.Lets start off by making sure we have all of the right diagnostic equipment, and enough time to use it all.…See More

Looking For Trouble: part 1

What do you think one the most important skills a EMT or Paramediccan have? is it good IV skills? Maybe good airway management? Or howabout a friendly bed side manor? theses are all without argument veryimportant skills to have, but what about assessment skills? It is the first treatment every one of our patients receive, and one that should be continued until care is transferred. It is the one skill that no matter what the chief complaint, is always preformed… oris it?Do you really, fully and…See More

About Me
I was Born and raised in Los Angeles, and in 2006 became an EMT and served both the city and county of Los Angeles. I was a LAFD Fire Explorer and in 2009 moved to the San Francisco Bay to attend Paramedic school and am currently in My field internship. I am also an educator and adviser for the UCSF Medical Explorers.
I Love EMS and medicine in general. Some of my goals are to work in the Air Medical field as a Flight Paramedic/Nurse. To become a EMS Educator and lecturer. And to be a major contributor in my field and help bring EMS and medicine to the next level and beyond.

In My leisure time I enjoy Motorsports, Cooking and Entertaining, Movies, playing and listening to music, Reading/Writing/blogging, Research/Learning/Teaching, Travel and spending time with My wonderful family and friends.

transport “non paying patients”, and the already huge cost of health

care rises because of it.…

The Seven Dollar Dent

Today I was out and about town. This morning I took my car to the mechanic for some passed due maintenance (Thanks Chronicles of EMS)

new uniforms. All and all, I’d say it was a… Continue

you. The kind of partner that gets your jokes, and who gets you.

Someone who you can talk…
