About Me
I have been involved in Emergency Medical Services since 1994. I started in EMS through volunteer fire service in my home town. In 1994, our local VFD developed a Medical First Responder system. I became a State of Louisiana certified First Responder that year. This stoked my already strong interest in EMS. Eventually, I re-enrolled into college at the University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette) studying Emegency Health Science. I became a Nationally Registered EMT-Basic in January 1996, thus beginning my career with Acadian Ambulance & AirMed Services, Inc. in March of that year. I started Paramedic school in October 1996, working as a full-time EMT-Basic while attending Paramedic school. I received my National Registry EMT - Paramedic certification 20 June 1998. I have worked full-time as an ambulance Paramedic, EMS instructor, Field Supervisor, Field Training Officer and now serve as Education Coordinator for Safety Management Systems (subsidiary of Acadian Ambulance Service).
Hello Jason. I am a medic from Shirley, NY and I collect patches. I was wondering if you were interested in swapping patches with me. Let me know. Take care and be safe.
Rob
Will do, I have Vonage, so my number is the same. Also, my e-mail is still the same. We are 8 to 9 hours ahead of central time, but I'll do my best to try and catch you some time.

Hi Jason,
I see that you are interested in trading EMS patches. I am an EMT-B waaaay down in New Zealand (NZ), which is kind of between Australia and Antartica. I'm also trading EMS patches and building a collection for our station wall. If you are interested in trading with me, drop me a line.
