My Brady Lab Samples

I am looking for anyone out there who administrates a MyBradyLab site for EMT class that will allow me to take a peek at your content. I am not looking to copy anything from anyone but rather get an idea on what can be done with the Lab. I have a new key code so that is not a problem.David Spafford NREMTP/ICEMT AcademySpringfield MA.See More

Mix it up or follow the Index?

Ok this is for the instructors out there. I am teaching my first Basic Course starting August 29th. I am using Emergency Care 12th Edition by Limmer. I have reviewed other programs course syllabus and found that some people actually follow the book chapter for chapter while others group like subjects together and lecture that way. Anyone have any input on this?See More

"I can easily believe it!  :) Earlier stuff is simpler for the graphic designers to understand, maybe? :) "

"Very true...in the interests of time and sanity I've used stock Powerpoints as a template and then edit them, rather than creating a new one from scratch.  By "verbatim", I meant using as-is, without editing.  Also…"

"Ben Dowdy said: Personally, I've found the bigger problem is that they appear to have not been made by people with medical training, but by graphic designers who were given the book and told to maker a Powerpoint out of it. :) But they do often…"

"The textbook is a tool, not a requirement.  Like you, I'm getting ready to lead my first EMT class...in prepping for it, I've learned some things; 1) The EMS Ed Standards are the only thing you HAVE to follow.  My experience so…"

Teaching

I am currently teaching my first EMT refresher and am loving every minute of it. I have no idea why I waited this long to do this. It really helps when you have students that respect what you are doing and seem to be getting something from the information I am delivering.

yeah but you have other needs in your life besides being just warm. One needs respect from one another and in TN you get that.

well if one wants to live for themselves, make money and just enjoy the weather, that's a great place for one to be, but on the other hand when someone wants to be a part of a community, where people come together to help one another and put aside ALL their differences, then that's where that person shall be. My life investment is not in financial gain, it's of humanity. The idea of life is not to make a living, make a life and then after you do that, your living will follow. Besides, people actually wave to you with all five fingers up here instead of one down there. When someone is in need, the whole community comes together to help that person. When people say, life should be that way, well life is that way here.
