Port Reading Volunteer First Aid Squad remains committed to assisting to make life better for individuals whose lives are affected by the poor economy and rising healthcare costs. Through our organization, we have been able to make a positive impact on the lives of several thousand people in our community who are living on a fixed income or social security. We have been able to maintain consistent and reliable pre hospital emergency care to our community, without having to rely on billing individuals for our provided services.
A few of our major accomplishments over the past year include:
- · We are still the only, all Volunteer First Aid Squad left in our area.
- · We have been serving our community for over 40 yrs
Our work is only possible with the assistance of generous donations from members of the community. Without donations from supporters such as yourself, the people who benefited from PRFAS services for the past 40 years would have been left to face their challenges with lacking health coverage and other EMS organizations billing customers for services. It is our belief that every person dealing with these issues deserves the continued support that we are ready and willing to give them with no cost to the community.
