Kind of dumb to me. Just like any TV show, it has to sell. So you have to add all of the spicy stuff to make it watchable. But all in all, I will not be a viewer.
So why do we let people go from "zero to physician". "zero to nurse," "zero to lawyer" etc - in short, directly to every other profession, but in EMS we want you to be a nurses aid, then an LVN, before you can go to RN school?

There is no shortage of EMT's or Medics here. However there is a huge shortage of GOOD EMTs and medics. Basics are a dime a dozen, medics are 15 cents a dozen. Around here the schools turn em out like its factory with a quota.
