I have ridden many a mile in one of these. I loved them. They weren’t as classy as a Caddy, but they were more practical. I liked these better than the new type II’s that came out later. The last one I rode in was still being used in the 80’s and was named “Betty Lou”.

SouthStar used to be Richmond Ambulance. We dug some old photos out of the shed yesterday and there were some gems in there!
