Hello, if you are an NAEMT member or not I represent you on the NAEMT Board from Region IV. I have worked for the past two years on the board to improve EMS. I serve on the Rural Development Preparedness Consortium to provide training to advance Homeland security in the rural setting. Take a look at what we have developed at www.ruraltraning.org . I joined your group to enhance our communications between you and the association that represents you.
I would appreciate your support in the current election. Visit www.naemt.org and click on the election information to view the candidates. Stay in touch, stay informed, and most of all stay safe. I want what is best for the “boots on the ground” because EMS Matters!

There is just somethin' about Utah, don't ya think? I lived in Knoxville, TN for almost 2 years and it's beaurtiful there. Wouldn't mind living there again. Ex husband was a paramedic with Rural/Metro of Knoxville and was an adrenaline junkie, then we moved back to Utah so I could be closer to my family. Well it got me back to Utah, but I have to say, I know the feeling you go through when you go through with the adrenaline rushes of big city ambulance life to next to nothing where you're at now John. That's why Tom went back to Knox. Despite the good bennies, he just couldn't stand it. Drove him batty. But he does miss Utah now that he's had a taste of it. And I still miss Tennessee now that I've had a taste of it..........Wonder who will win?

Welcome to the site. I'm not in EMS but I do work in a hospital. I have a great deal of respect for our EMS system, and see them often when they come to the ICU to bring or transport patients.
In 2004 I was in an accident, and I don't remember anything from the accident, the ambulance ride or even the exam at the hospital. What I do remember is just a little bit of the paramedics and how kind and reassuring they were to me. So I just want to say thank you, even though I don't know who you were, for taking care of me in what was such a traumatic moment of my life! (Even though I don't remember it!)
