yes most of our calls are 911.because were quite adistance out of town. weonly have one amblance.if wetake it out of the area we could and have got into problems.i'm not saying we don't do trasfer's.we try not to.

We do everything...Inter facility transfers, 911 with the County, Contracts with the SUNY College and area nursing homes, and ALS Assists for Narcotics in the area. We are growing in our area, more and more squads are starting to call us if they dont get a crew instead of their primary mutual aid squad. EMS Needs a rapid response and most of our squads, (Mine included) go 3 transmissions sometimes more before they get a crew and out the door...Thats at least 12 minutes of tone out time, than theres response time, and the time it took to call EMS...We need change around me.

We are part of the old PUM program. We are contracted by the city of Fort Wayne for all emergent and transfer runs. A couple of our hospitals do have transfer services, but they can only transfer beteween their facilities. We have the first option, but if we are being hammered with 911 runs, we will give them transfers.

Do you run 9-1-1 out of your private service?
