I am an EMT-I in a small town in Utah, my husband and I used to own a business but it went under, we always used to share our message of God with others if they would ask, and invite them to come with us to church, we had several young people working for us and a few of them we knew liked to "party" one young man in particular we would pick up from his home and bring him to work and always try to share with him the Message of God and what he could do.. but he never really wanted to hear it. Two years down the road the ambulance I work on got paged to an unresponsive male overdose CPR in Progress. on arrival to the scene it is the same young man in very bad shape. but he is breathing although not very well, he is given Narcan and he wakes up... we take him to the ED and all is well he's going to make it end of story right?? Wrong... yesterday while on facebook I get a friend request from him and I accept it.. he tells me thanks for saving his life, I tell him I didn't do that alone and ask him how he's doing with the drugs and such... he answers "that's what I meant by you saved my life.... you showed me God.. that night when I finally got to go home I prayed to him and he hasn't let me down since" "so yeah thanks for saving my life"

that touched my heart more than any "EMS Save". anyone else have any stories like this one?? God is amazing and we can do all things through him!!

Hi every one I am a full time paramedic & instructor in Eastern Iowa near Iowa City. I am also involved with a mission clinic in the mountains of Haiti. The project I am working on right now is getting a equipment list ready so we can turn this clinic into a hospital with general surgery & in patient unit. If anyone has any ideas please let me know.

Feel free to stop by my new blog: EMS 4 Christ. Nothing for sale, nothing to buy, just a place to get refreshed and encouraged with God's word. Stop by often, it's a work in progress.

My name is Michael McGivern and I work as a clinical nurse/educator in the far north of New Zealand. I have a strong interest in teaching pre hospital emergency care. My catholic faith means a lot to me, and I truly believe that I get through each day with Gods help and support and guidance from the Holy spirit. I would love to hear from other people who feel the same way. If anyone likes swapping patches, please let me know.

God bless you always in your work

Hey All,

Does anyone have a resource for used Paramedic text books?
I specifically need "Paramedic Practice Today" Volumes 1 & 2 (Mosby) The best prices I have found so far are about $85-$95 for the text books each, and $35-$45 on the workbooks.

I know about, amazon and ebay.

Glad to join the group! I am an EMT with the San Diego Sheriff's SAR Bureau Medical Unit. We are all volunteers and love our work. I teach elementary school to pay the bills and get more 'toys' for my SAR work. God bless you all. BTW, Steven, you might want to check the spelling for carpenter in the group's name. Sorry, I'm a teacher, proofreading is a habit!
