A song that is good to use is "Damaged" by Danity Kane, started to use it over a year, it's a nice chance from playing Staying Alive for the last 16 years but you just can't have a CPR course without playing it at least once. Just cant seem to find one that Michael Jackson did at the right rate. Going to look at Janet's music is had more dance music. Let you know what I find. Always looking for new ways to have fun while training.

Hey I've heard the same thing about the Queen song. Apparently another song that is recommended to keep the beat during CPR is Staying Alive by The BeeGees. How ironic!!

Lol thats funny... Another one rides the bus..!

There is actually another song that keeps the beat...escapes me right now.
"Another one bites the Dust" was great back in the early 80's because the beat was about 80. The new standard of 100 is not exactly correct...however I believe there are a few versions of Another one rides the bus. oh btw..don't pee on yourself doing CPR, wait until you are done! ;>)

When I was in class our instructor was going over cpr and one of my class mates asked her how fast do we do our compressions.... she said something along the lines of, this may be morbid but if you sing (in your head!!) ... another one bites the dust...the beat is about how fast is should be! We all about peed our pants laughing!

That depends, if we want a call, we make plans, if we don't we keep quiet and try to slide under radar. Besides the obvious of torturing the rookies and harassing the boss
Terry Comment by Terry on July 2, 2009 at 10:46pm
so what do people do when they are bored witing for a call?

Hi everyone, I have been working a Fly Car now for 2 years. I also like the concept. In fact, the hospital that I am working in (Bangkok, Thailand) is the only hospital base ambulance that operate this type of vehicle with multi-tasks.

If you work in a "fly car" or "first responder" this is the place for you. Say hello, get to know each other, share experiences good or bad. A good place to vent or just learn what we all do in our regions.

Very interestingly, how do you apply them (ice packs) on the patient ?
