Well I passed the National Registry. My test stopped at about 70 also. My facilitator said that if you were doing bad on the test it would hammer you in one area. Mine was all over the place.... Cardiac, respiratory, Trauma, peds. But I passed!!!!!

Hey Patrick you can try Platinum Education they have an adaptive test gen set up just like the registry. They have a free demo of the EMSCAT I think the website is www.platcat.com. I took the registry yesterday and it stopped @ 70 q's. Don't know the results yet b/c of the weekend but it was set up just like registry.

I graduated from EMT school november 07,2008. I took the registry but i failed miserably. That was in Smyrna, Ga. Now I'm in Chicago and i'm currently studying for the test all over. I just wish i knew where in can find a study group. If any one have a suggestion or two, i can sure use them.

I passed my national skills final. 4 more patient contacts then I can take the national written test!!!!

Elizabeth you can never go wrong reading ahead of time in class. Just find yourself some solid experienced providers and they will help you if you get lost or confused. I have been teaching programs for 20 years and always recommend flash cards and reading all chapters before the class. If I can do anything drop me a line. Have a nice morning Mr. Ed

I am so glad that i found this group I will be starting class in Aug for EMT -Para the class that just finished a friend of mine was in the whole way threw itshe has had problems with th einstructor not wanting to teach when it came time for the test the class was pretty much on their own.Listening to her talk and cry during this class it has given me cold feet about the whole thing So i decided to buy her books from her and start now to study and read.Can anyone tell me if that was a good idea am i getting ahead of my self because mine friend scared me? Help

I started my class 2 weeks ago. So far so good. I love the skills part, but the book work is so-so. I wish we had more lecture time.
The test are the nerve wrecking part.

I was hoping there was an EMT student group! I will be starting class early June. It was supposed to have started in April, and after I got work off and arranged my schedule, etc. they cancelled the class several hours before it was supposed to have started. Not enough people due to one person cancelling out that morning. This time they say they have more than enough to have the class, so hopefully that is the case. I'm sure it will be fun.

Hello all, I have taken EMT-B twice now. The first time I made it 2/3 rds of the way through it and had to have a double bypass. That trip we used the 10th edition, this time we are using the 11th edition. I have been working on a fire department based EMS for awhile and have been an Instructor/Trainer for about 10 years in everything below first responder. Even though we live in southeastern Wisconsin, we are looking to move back to northern Michigan where we own a home in about year or so.
