Comment by Mike Bosley on August 3, 2012 at 2:02pm There were two forms of the I "85" and "99" NREMT is replacing it with the Advanced. Its still in-between Basic and Paramedic. Some states are getting up to speed with the Registry and some my be longer to react. Depending on the area or jurisdiction you are in they go from Basic to Paramedic bypassing the other. But in either case get street time under your belt before advancing. Hope this helps a little.
Comment by olivia on August 3, 2012 at 1:45pm Hello my name is Olivia. I am from coatesville Pa and I will be starting school for EMT-b training this september 4rth. I am just wondering what is the next step after EMT-b? Is it, AEMT or is it, EMT-I? I am just confused because people are telling me diferent things. I think every state is diferent, so I live in PA and I need to know what is the next step before I become an EMT-P?

Comment by Erich M. Weldon on August 23, 2011 at 12:29am Hi all! There is a new association in California representing EMS professionals. Even if you are not an EMD, EMR, EMT, AEMT or Paramedic in California, please "Like" this page to support us! CAAEMT Facebook Page
The mission of the California Association of Emergency Medical Technicians is to serve the prehospital EMS care providers of California by presenting networking opportunities, offer continuing education, work with CAAEMT partners to give discounts on services and products, and represent its membership during discussions that will readily affect their practice and protocols.
