Attached is a link to a blog post on firechief.com regarding furlough days for firefighters and police officers.
The post is very interesting, but, even more interesting is the comment/response.
How are public EMS agencies confronting these same issues?

Anyone have a policy they would be willing to share regarding a medic units actions if the approach a MVC while responding to another class? Do they stop or continue on origninal call - if they stop and there are noly minor injuries, can they continue to original call (in another medic unit is coming) without an abandonment issue. Anyone know f any leagal challenegs related to this issue? Any infor would be helpful, Thanks

Who's attending Pinnacle this year?
Kevin Comment by Kevin on March 18, 2009 at 8:08am
Unfortunatly I will not be attending. I'm shooting for next year. I think it should be great though, several great classes being offered on EMS managment.

Hi everyone, I have been working a Fly Car now for 2 years. I also like the concept. In fact, the hospital that I am working in (Bangkok, Thailand) is the only hospital base ambulance that operate this type of vehicle with multi-tasks.

If you work in a "fly car" or "first responder" this is the place for you. Say hello, get to know each other, share experiences good or bad. A good place to vent or just learn what we all do in our regions.

Very interestingly, how do you apply them (ice packs) on the patient ?
