Thanx for the info.  I'm going to look into the NAEMSE classes and see if they are recognized where I live.

Hi Joe,  I'm not sure what the State of New York or your county require, but the NAEMSE Instructor courses both level one & level two are great courses.  I don't know if your state will recognize them for instructor credentialing.  You may need to do the DOT class, or some state specific course.  Check your state regulations, or talk to your state EMS Office.

I have been an EMT for 16 years and due to a back injury I can not work the street any more but I still want to be involved in EMS.  I live in the Albany NY area and I am interested in taking classes to become an instructor.  Does anyone know where I can take classes?

Hello everyone. I have been in and out of EMS for 15 years now. I have been a Paramedic for 5 years now and an Lead instructor in Illinois for just about a year. I have taught EMT-B and EMT-I levels as well as CPR and PEPP. I work as a paramedic full time and I am currently the Chief of a small town service.
