Hey all - I'd like to take a minute to introduce myself.  I am currently finishing up my master's in emergency health services with UMBC.  I am working on the finalizations of my master's capstone with regards to paramedics and preparedness for disaster response.  I would like any that have been involved in such responses to take the following survey.  This is a non-conventional survey and I am not running statistics or likert scaling, merely gathering information about where current paramedic training has holes when it comes to preparing for disasters.Emergency Responders Disaster Survey

Hey Dino. I know that LACO and Virginia USARS are out. Can't give specifics on DMATS, but I don't think any have gone out yet. They're still assessing the situation over there.

Any word on which teams, if any,  have been called up for the earthquake situation out in Japan or the Tsunami scenario in Hawaii and West Coast?????  Or are they on the east coast???

As part of one of my college classes I have to conduct a research survey. I would greatly appreciate if you take a few minutes from your busy schedules and complete the online survey. All responses are anonymous.

Please forward this message to your colleagues in EMS, the more responses I get the better. :)

The survey can be found at:

Thank you

Anyone have a vendor for black on khaki (not desert tan) nametapes? Everyone seems to have switched to that pinkish Desert Tan that looks pretty bad on the khaki DMAT BDUs. I even called 1800nametapes with no luck.

I just heard that myself, David. We're not going to the Gaylord it seems. We'll have to wait and see what happens. It would have been more interesting if this had hit next week!
