I just received this info from my Linked In account. Our throughts and prayers are with GA-3 and Judy's friends and family. -- Sam
"I hope this E-mail finds you all safe and well. While I would prefer to be communicating to you all with warm regards of holiday cheer, it is with great sadness this E-mail is being sent. I regret to inform you that shortly before 0600 hours this morning, our beloved commander and friend, Judy Edwards, passed away from stage four (4) adenocarcinoma.
This is a great loss for us all at DMAT GA-3, and to the family, friends, and colleagues who were blessed to have known Judy. For those of you who are not members of DMAT GA-3, or who are not being updated regarding the memorial services to come, I will make it a priority to keep you up to speed.
As the holidays quickly approach, may we all take a moment to remember the life of DMAT GA-3 Commander and friend, Judy Edawards. At the same time, may we all take a moment to recognize the many blessings and privledges in our lives: good health, family, friends, and our collective efforts to serve and protect the health and medical interestes of our Nation's communities."
