What is Chronicles of EMS

We created Chronicles of EMS (CoEMS) in response to countless interactions with first responders asking for authentic, entertaining and inspiring stories of our profession. As Paramedics and EMT’s we have worked extensively in the field and know the needs and expectations of this community. That has given us a perspective that can not be duplicated. Utilizing social media is how we have built our audience and continue to gain a significant following around CoEMS.

Hi All,

Time to break the silence. I've been busy working with a great bunch of EMSers and firefighters to create an awesome "edutainment" website. This includes a webseries in development called ... wait for it ... "Disaster Sam". Yep, I'm looking for compelling stories from disaster workers, EMS stories from the streets, ski patrollers, divers or anyone else that engages in patient care. This will be a video based series. Have a story? Let me know at Check out the site at We're especially proud of our new digital magazine called, "Interventions". The first issue, created completely by paramedics, explains the concept of EMS 2.0 and why we want to make EMS better. the issue we're working on now is about, for and to EMS medical directors. Check us out and let us know what you think.

Hi all! There is a new association in California representing EMS professionals. Even if you are not an EMD, EMR, EMT, AEMT or Paramedic in California, please "Like" this page to support us!  CAAEMT Facebook Page

The mission of the California Association of Emergency Medical Technicians is to serve the prehospital EMS care providers of California by presenting networking opportunities, offer continuing education, work with CAAEMT partners to give discounts on services and products, and represent its membership during discussions that will readily affect their practice and protocols.

@Sean Barnes--you are right! To be able to see the laughable moments, the caring moments as well...not just the "made for telly"crap.

I'm very interested to start watching this series. I've often thought about doing something like this, but I lack the know-how. I really hope this accurately represents how EMS truly is and doesn't just show trauma and cardiac arrests.
