Hi all, would love to know the best way to become an Australian paramedic; currently serving as a CCEMT-P in the US? Looking forward to comments...

G'day all,
My name is Cheryl and I am an Advanced Care Paramedic living and working in a small rural station in outback Queensland. I have only been here a month or so and having moved from a large station, it was a bit of a culture shock.
Our 'patch' covers 56,000 square kilometres and it is a single officer station.....potential for LONG response times!
I would be keen to hear from any other paramedics working in rural and isolated places....in Australia or anywhere.

Cheers all - stay safe
Cheryl

Hi folks,

I am a Canadian paramedic. I thought I would join your group because I've been in EMS for 25 years and recently completed my undergrad Degree (BHSc) in paramedicine through Victoria University in Melbourne!

cheers

Hi everyone,
we have ordered a new LP 15 defibrillator last november and are still desperately waiting....
The company told us that production has already started and the first 400 (!) has been shipped to Australia. Has anyone out there got it? And - by the way - has maybe first experiences made?
Thank you for your help

Hello, hello

I'm not an Aussie, (a yank through and through) but I am very interested in International EMS and would like to invite you all to join our International EMS Group and get involved in our discussions - the more we get to join, the more we'll have to share.

Take it easy!
