The New healthcare possibilities
What do you guys think will change, (if anything) if Obama makes sweeping health care changes? Anyone on here from another country that has the same system we may be going to??

Stay tooned for "truth-o-meter" analysis of Obama's Full Ginsberg this weekend.
Although I gotta admit, it was fun learning about the Ginsberg Maneuver (thanks, Monica Lewinski!)
If you are watching the totals, Obama (since becoming a Presidental candidate) has LIED (or not told the entire truth, or just plain misspoke) about 20-24% of the time. Since elected President, that number has dropped sharply, to about 15%. Still, the thought of having an American President lie 15% of the time is more than a little disconcerting. Although I'd like to have seen Bush's numbers.
Although our President misstates the truth 15% of the time, he is ONE OF THE MOST HONEST politicians we have right now. Check out everyone else's numbers! (like John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid) Check out YOUR congressman's numbers. Sad, ain't it?
But let's wait and see how Obama fares after the Ginsberg thing finishes.

We will have more costs and less services. (which is normal when the government controls anything) We could see more abortions and further neglect or even euthanasia of the elderly and others that are determined to be too costly too keep alive (such as young trauma victims and those with other "terminal illnesses") (who gets care is to be determined at a later time by who knows who?) We can expect to see very long waits for sub-standard care. We can expect medical advances to decline. We can expect to see people willing to pay out of pocket for services outside of what is being provided, because people will demand better and faster care than Obama's plan can provide. What we need is more thoughtful, gradual changes. What we don't need are huge, radical changes that have failed miserably in other countries.

Ladies and Gentlemen....
The HOUSE has passed the Affordable Health Choices Act about 5 minutes ago here in D.C.
The required 218 votes was achieved late tonite around 11:10pm at night. A lot of EMS money is in that bill. FINAL VOTE= 200 votes FOR the bill, 215 AGAINST the bill.
