How it helps both you and your patient -- The Houston Experience
Data plays a vital role in both patient care and EMS operations. Houston Fire Department EMS uses the latest technology to connect field and hospital care teams with critical patient data such as 12-lead ECGs to help identify STEMI patients and reduce time-to-treatment. In addition, Houston also collects data on each cardiac case to help process improvement. Chris Souders, MD, Houston’s Associate Medical Director, will walk through the systems and processes they have in place, the impact it has had on their organization, and how it has helped their patients.
