Event Description

McGregor Institute of EMS is pleased to announce Focus EMS, a new regional conference for EMS professionals. The conference will be held on the UNH campus in the Seacoast of New Hampshire. The “focus” of this year's conference is pediatrics. Over half of the sessions will relate to the prehospital treatment of pediatric patients. Conference speakers include leading experts in emergency medicine from around the country who have experience working with EMS. The conference was designed by practicing EMTs and Paramedics to serve the needs of their peers.

For a detailed schedule of the conference or to register, please visit www.FocusEMS.org. Conference presenters include:

* Dr. James Callahan, Director of Medical Education, Emergency Medicine at the Philadelphia Children’s Hospital.
* Richard Serino, Chief Boston EMS (and newly appointed Deputy Chief of FEMA)
* Sue Prentiss, Chief of the New Hampshire Bureau of EMS
* Dartmouth Hospital's Aeromedical Response team (will include a visit from the helicopter during lunch)
* Dr. Alaisdair Conn, Chief of Emergency Medicine, Massachusetts General Hospital
* Dr. Mike Witt, Pediatric Emergency Physician, Elliot Hospital
* Hands on Workshops: We will be offering hands-on workshops using a high quality, medical school grade pediatric simulator to provide experience responding to a variety of serious pediatric medical emergencies.

Make Your Training Budget Go Further:

* The conference cost is $115 per person (for single registrations before October 1, 2009).
* Group discount rate: $105 per person (for 5 or more simultaneous registrations before October 1, 2009).
